I want to thank you so much for your latest comments in the 3/wk challenge. I was getting discouraged but perhaps now I will continue for just a bit longer. I've enjoyed the tour through your country and tonight I strolled through this album since you mentioned you were going back to the forests. My husband and I are going to Vermont for a week beginning Sat so I'm excited about taking zillions of pictures. I even bought another memory card tonight in hopes of tons of great views. Thanks again for your comments. Wentzi from NC

Hi Peter, thanks for your very nice message 10 days ago. I know, I am neglecting you! Of course not on purpose, but - - it seem I am hibernating . . .work and sleep, work and sleep! This album is such a treasure! I've looked at it often, but never were enough awake to write. No, not the pictures made me sleepy, they are gorgeous! You know how much I love trees. I found the album as I transferred all my tree albums to the forest section. Then this album arrived at the top of the list. Very well deserved! Peter, I have to go, there is a beach waiting for me! :-) Galit

You certainly have interesting and beautiful trees over there. Our rainforest here is pretty much all conifir trees; spruce, hemlock and cedar, although some attain monstrous proportions (I once helped get a spruce log off the mountain which was 12 foot 10 inches in diameter). You must get lot of rain to grow trees the size of some of the ones in your photos. Thanks for displaying these photos here...Les in Alaska

A beautiful album. You editions are always masterpieces. Thanks for many entries in my guestbook. Sorry for not coming by earlier. After all that hurricane trouble a bad fever spread trough Paamul. I got it and was ill and unable to work for weeks. Now I'm back trying to catch up. Ever your fan. Heidi

Dear Peter, What a fascinating album of scenery in a continent I have never had the oppoortunity to visit!(It is still on my agenda, but my clock is ticking!) I enjoyed viewing the entire slide show - your albums have inspired me to think WEST beyond Alice Springs, if I ever do get to make it there! Thanks for your comments in my GB of the Czech Castles album. The castles themselves are great, but my album was created in the early days of scanning, cropping and slow uploading, with minimum resolution - a far cry from today's standard using a good digital! With my best wishes, bruno

Hi Peter, what a great place to visit. The trees are absolutely awesome. I can't emagine a tree big enough to park a car in and a big car at that.It was strange to see the snow in there amongst all the greenery and obvious hot weather. That's pretty much what we are looking at now. Not very colorful.LOL. Nice tour of the Forest areas of Australia. Thanks for sharing it. Claudette

Awesome looking trees, Peter. We have ones like that here in the U.S. in California, called Giant Redwoods. I liked your wetlands paths...that looks just like where I live! Funny how so many places in the world look similar. Thanks for sharing these. Carol from Florida, USA

Hi Peter! You must have dug deep into your archives to find some of these images to give the viewers a quick trip back and forth across Australia. But our unique Trees are very magical and an irreplacable resource which we should do more to protect and preserve. Thanks for sharing and Seasons Greetings to yourself and Betty.. Gladys.

When it comes to trees, nothing can compare, they are our lungs and our life. A great album, and my pleasure to be the first to sign your guestbook. To your and Betty, a joyous Christmas and all that's wonderful in 2006, from Keith.
