hello Chris and greetings from the land down under. I came across your albums when I was looking at some of Angie's photos and they immediately struck a chord with me. Years ago (and I do mean years - would be early 1950's) we used to live in Coulsdon, Surrey. Brighton in those days was an easy run down the Brighton Road and we frequently used to visit Eastbourne, Beachy Head, Hastings etc. Later I moved to Blackpool from where I used to haunt the Lake District and I am delighted to see a few albums from there among your collection. I love all these photos in this album and find it hard to imagine all that frost on the seafront at Hove. You mention Brighton Pier - would that be the former Palace Pier because I seem to remember reading somewhere that West Pier had burnt down. Dear Chris, Thank you so much for my GB entry I'm so glad you liked our wee town I'm afraid we almost take it for granted but we do know its a bit special too. I've really enjoyed looking through this album one more as it gives me an idea of what to exepect when we visit. We have decided I think that we will stay another night in Arundel and visit the Wetlands trust place there. This is sure to put a dampener on the weather now LOL. Hello Chris,glad you enjoyed the photos although it is a very small album for me! lol.Have been very busy up to Christmas & just got home after a week in the Peak District.I must add some more photos to it soon.Pleased to hear that you like the look of Bailey,he's a little darling,my constant companion & much loved.Very nice photos from your neck of the woods,i think my last visit to Brighton must have been at least 20 years ago!We have had several holidays in West Sussex & like it a lot.I live in South West Lincolnshire,which luckily is not flat!!I will no doubt be chatting with you on the OFC board soon,got to catch up with 300 emails first!!Regards,Angela.
