Album Description:
Early Autumn in the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire.

I visited the White Mountains in the early 1940's. Remember the little train with the boiler level when the engine was on a steep grade. Also remember the anchor chain holding the buildings down on the top of the mountain. Great shots.

Hello again Sharon, This is another example of your excellent photography of gorgeous scenery, flowers, bridges etc. Wherever you go everything seems to be so colourful and you capture that colour to perfection. I love it. You kindly wrote in one of my guest books and I thank you for that. If you want to see animals in the wild I have a couple of albums of kangaroos and another couple featuring emus and yet another of a parrot that came a visiting just recently. But I do appreciate that looking at these will take a bit of time so I won't be offended if you can't manage it. Now it is bedtime on this side of the world so bye for now and take care. Hi, Sharon - I made a guest book entry for this album a year and a half ago, and, since I am visiting here again, why not add a few more words? I really don't need to review this one, as I have it in its entirety in two computers. Just wanted to tell you that you came pretty close - Kancamagus Hwy is only about 15 miles from Silver Lake, where we spend summers. And I can repeat that this is a wonderful cross-section of some of the best sights in the state. Thanks for you comments about my "Silver Lake Moods" - looking forward to being there again this summer. Best regards and wishes to you and Bob, bruno

Hi Sharon,Your Photo's in this album of your vacation to New Hampshire are very beautiful. There are so many appealing shots in here, but my favourite still remains the same, as my origanal choice "The Church at Sugar Hill" 34 also Along Route 117 in the "White Mountains" Thanks for these super vacation photo's. Sharon in answer to your question about the tree, A tree can have several different types of holes this is a dry vertical hole, and they usually house birds, insects and the like. It is a very large tree and I could not see directly into the hole close up. I dont think it was an Owl and could be some form of growth, but I always like to take things that I think are interesting, I will TRY to take a closer look next time. Thanks once again for the beauty in your albums and for sharing. Hope you are well.Elaine.

Absolutely beautiful album. I love the rich fall colours and the covered bridges and all of the scenery. It is a very good album and should be a feature. http://community.webshots.com/user/midnight_lace

Sharon, I do live in Ohio part of the year. My husband and I retired from teaching and now spend the summers on the St. Lawrence in upstate NY and the winters in Sebring, FL. It allows me to photograph a diversity of environments. Thanks for asking. Linda

Thanks for the kind words in my guestbook today. I love your pictures of the White Mountains. We visted your state a couple of years ago. It is one of my favorite spots. Thanks for sharing its beauty.

Sharon, I just knew that you would bring some gorgeous pics back from your vacation and here we have them. Along route 117 in the "White Mountains" and the "Church at Sugar Hill" are my favourites but it was a hard choice as they are all so beautiful. Thanks for your great albums Sharon. I can see from your pics that you enjoyed your vacation. My Kindest Regards./Elaine.
