There was a famous song over here in the 1940's called 'there will be bluebirds over the white cliffs of dover' unfortunately a figment of the songwriters imagination as we never see them over here! Jan...Where are u from.? Obviously that's where all the blue birds are hanging out because we haven't seen one around the mountains or foothills of the Smoky Mtns for ages. Also I remember seeing them Vt in my younger years but so many have told me they never see them anymore..OBTW and exceptional album!

This is a fabulous collection of bluebirds. I spent one whole afternoon to get a single shot of a red cardinal, so I can imagine the time and effort you must have given to get these beautiful shots of these lovely birds. Being born in Kenya, before traveling around Africa and move to Scotland, I miss the colours and beauty of the wild life and birds in Africa, you have managed to capture some of that beauty and have brought back some fantastic memories. Fantastic album. We used to have plenty of Bluebirds pass through here on their migrations in early Spring and then late summer. Last few years we haven't seen any -- miss those bright blue feathers darting about. Congrats on your place today. Charley

What an absolutely gorgeous album!!! How do you get these shots?! I recently stalked and photographed a woodpecker and an owl - only to get home and find they were less than perfect pictures because either I didn't have a good enough zoom or lense or it was dusk..... Guess I'll just come visit your bird pictures!! Awesome!

Thanks so much for sharing these! What a wonderful camera you have to catch all these nice happy bluebird moments. I want to download every photo. I was fortunate enough to have a bluebird family in my backyard, beginning on Mother's Day last year. They raised 4 babies that all safely fledged right before a terrific thunderstorm. I continued to see all 6 of them nearby for the rest of the summer.

Dear Jan! People around are always joyful about Webshots game of Featured Album! For me, frankly speaking, I personally really do not have such enthusiasm or joyfulness. I keep watching, I keep thinking, some of my friends have always been working hard in producing superb albums quietly, but WS is absolutely and totally BLIND!!!
