Hi Jackie, thank you for comments in my SYRIA guestbook from last week. It's an awesome place, isn't it? I had no choice but to take photos of the kids ... they totally mobbed me which I was trying (unsucessfully) to take photos of the beehive houses! But I guess that's why I managed to get such great pics of them ... they were such willing and happy subjects! In all my travels, I found that people in Syria and Jordan were some of the friendliest people around. They made us feel so welcomed and genuinely just wanted to talk to us without wanting anything from us. So genuine! Although there was one time when I had to get my friend, Lisa, away from this who I swear were trying to talk her into becoming one of the many wives of his friend! Hello Jackie, like my friend marita below Welcome to webshots and thankyou for making me a fav. it is very kind of you, I too am a OAP, and love to get around taking pics of just about everything. I have looked through your album and have picked out some of the shots I particulary like, the pub how extrodinary, the little cygnet of course and that beautiful Autumn scene on the Stour. keep taking the pics I will be looking out for them, take care Ken from the Fens of England
