Hi Jackie, thank you for comments in my SYRIA guestbook from last week. It's an awesome place, isn't it? I had no choice but to take photos of the kids ... they totally mobbed me which I was trying (unsucessfully) to take photos of the beehive houses! But I guess that's why I managed to get such great pics of them ... they were such willing and happy subjects! In all my travels, I found that people in Syria and Jordan were some of the friendliest people around. They made us feel so welcomed and genuinely just wanted to talk to us without wanting anything from us. So genuine! Although there was one time when I had to get my friend, Lisa, away from this who I swear were trying to talk her into becoming one of the many wives of his friend!
