Hy Yair, Thankz a lot mate. True, it was a pretty hectic day. Your pomogranates are not ripe yet, I had a couple of trees in my garden, but had to chop them down cause we could not eat them as fast as it was yielding. Once again thankz a lot for your time mate - Anup

Hello Yair, Such an interesting fruit this is, I remember as a kid my girlfriend had one in her yard. Oh how I loved eating the little sweet fruit pieces inside. So much fun, and quite a challenge too. Found though as an adult not so fun, not so good tasting either...lol Your album shows the stages in growing, something I really never payed attention to as a Young child. Thanks for the memory and the info. Laura

Hi Yair, thank you so much for this beautiful and informative album. There are many things here that i didn't know. I did know though how tasty this fruit is. As a child i loved it and not all that long ago i tried it again and found that it was just as nice. It is a bit of a challenge to eat but worth it. I enjoyed looking through this album and learning so many interesting things. Claudette

Hi Yair, all this was very interesting to learn of pomegranates, your photos are beautiful and must do credit to the plant which I have not seen growing anywhere, not that I know of anyway. I am curious about it and must read in the net. I got myself a brand new VISA but it was not accepted by Webshots so I could not get myself a Premium account. So I must continue without. Maybe one day they will. Thanks for the new album, take care, Merike

Hi Yair! I loved this album about Pomegranates, it is gorgeous. Wonderful photos, impossible to choose favorites, I've tried but they were almost all of them! Pomegranates happen to be one of my favorite fruits, I buy them a lot, specially in the end of the year, when they are cheaper in Portugal (about + or - 2 Euros. At the moment they cost about 7 or 8 Euros/kg. As you see I'm a very conscientious consumer:) I really don't know why it reaches these prices, because it is a tree which grows very well in Portugal. As the matter of fact, and we can see that in this beautiful album, it is a magnificent tree. It has already crossed my mind to substitute one of my trees for a Pomegranate tree... maybe it attracts more bees and butterflies, lol. I really enjoyed to see you album. I think I hadn't seen pomegranates in Webshots before... at least an album only dedicated to this fruit. Congratulations and thank you for sharing. All the best, Rosa

Hi Yair: a very special album again, another proof that Israel is a country with a particularly high variety of plants!? Beautiful flowers - and the fruits: get they bigger, are they even tasty? Thank you for the interesting lesson; and by the way thank you very much, too, for your kind words concerning our week's "degree"! Best wishes: Kaethi and Henri

Truly saying, I really have not seen exactly this growing of the Chinese Apple before! Only the common green pomegranate are found in the supermarkets. Cool! Friend! You have wonderful pictures of pomegranate which amazed me so much! Now I have another imagination ... are you living not too far away from me?! HeeHee! Thank you so much, dear friend! Time for me to go to bath now! See you! Big Hugs! CS

Hi again Yair. In Portugal we call the fruit romד and the tree romדzeira. But I don't know if your keyboard has the ~ :) Some keyboards miss miss some charaters... In Finland, for instance, they don't have the "ח". Today, when I was going to pick up some of my loquats, I have seen a bunch of beautiful butterflies flying around and I made some good captures! Im sooooo happy! I'll post them one of these days... I have so many photos to post! Weekend is coming, I wish yours is a very good one! Take care, Rosa

Hi Yair, Beautiful album about a beautiful and somewhat mysterious fruit! As you probably know, it is the official fruit of Granada, Spain. Granada means pomegranate in Spanish. It also means grenade and this must be because the internal similarities between the fruit and the early grenades. Greetings from Florida, Paul.

Dear Yair, my best compliments for this so beautiful and interesting album!!! You have joint to the beauty of your photos also some very interesting comments. I think that this wonderful fruit is one of more enchanting to paint ... and I have tried to do it a lot of times … It is so particular and so nice that it is a very great pleasure to discover the simple perfection of its form and the precious magic beauty that it hides ... the precious grain and their wonderful colors! I love so much the Pomegranate and your photos too! Thank you for this great album! A hug! Simona

Ciao Yair, I wish to reply to your kind message. I have not so many paints now, because I often give them to my friends, but if you have a bit of time and want to see some of my works (made playing with colors and paintbrushes), there are two "frescos" with pomegranates, made some years ago, in my album "Who I am"... I am not so clever in the hard technique of the "fresco", but if you will be content ... I will be glad to share with you my poor art! A big hug! Simona

Very pretty Yair. In the south of Spain, this tree grows spontaneously without cultivating in lands next to the roads, creeks and gorges. Also it is cultivated to commercialize his fruit. It is own of the warmest zones of Spain. Thanks to share your photos and your knowledge. Also thanks for your many commentaries in my albums, you are very kind an generous with me. Yair! Thank you for pointing out the observation that 2 of the recently featured albums were featured before. I certainly did not notice that. But I did notice the problem with the POTD and the featured album from World Cup soccer. Webshots was not going to miss an opportunity to celebrate the WCS opening with an album like this on technicalities. Present the album now and investigate allegations later. I lost a battle with Webshots long time ago where I was forced to take out a picture of a poster of the Star Trek Entrerprise Spaceship that I took in Las Vegas.

Hello Yair, this is a very interesting album. The pictures of course are great. I know the fruit, but it is always nice to see where it comes from (the flower). This fruit has also a beautiful flower. The subtitles along with many of the pictures are very interesting too and give the album that extra dimension. Thanks for your reaction on my recent feature and for your gb entry in the Late March album (April 13). I may have told you that my parents will rehouse this year to a home that is accustomed to elderly people. Off and on this takes a lot of time arranging all the things that go along with it. Because of that I do not have much time to spend on the internet, but I hope that my parents are settled in towards the end of July, and that I have more time to do what I like. My vegetable garden is complaining too, that I hardly visit it. Best wishes, your friend from Holland, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hi Yair, I can't believe I haven't written here! I looked at those pictures a lot, but . . . .! I like those pictures very much - - as I know they are quit difficult to catch!! I just yesterday found a new tree full of fruit and this tree is less than 1,5 meter high! Btw I tried your framing tool out and I am NOT enthusiastic about it! About our friend with those unwanted picture messages: I saw at last Orly's reaction and I am very proud of her! You asked about Abu Gosh; no, I didn't visit this years concerts. Did you? Yair, I see you survived that month without me :-) :-) :-) even loaded a lot of wonderful albums up!! Take care! - Galit

Yair, whenever is pomegranat season, I always use it in my salad, as always fighting to loose weight and with kiwi Pomegranat lends a wonderful flavour and color to fresh garden salads:)

I am amazed how much you know about Pomegranates, and thank you for showing me the first tree, as I never had chance to see one before. So many ancient latin/greek poets and thinkers used the inviting flesh of Pomegranat in their love song:)

Todays Herbal medicine discovered the antioxidant quality of the juice of Pomegranat, here in US less then a gallon of juice is over ten dollar, not for low income people, but it s color and density of the real juice is worth the money...as I dont drink alcohol, I use it as enticing red wine at candlelight dinners:) Special dinners:)

Late Fall the Pomegranate is the best here in US, it is sweet/sour, but undeniable inviting...and the prize of ONE fruit is about 2-3 dollars:) To me my table is incomplete without the cheeerful color of that decorative and healthy fruit...

Adult? Our children ( I have none) need this tonic and protective fruit the most. Problem is greed, as manufacturers mix the precious juice with other cheap fruit juice, not caring about the neutralizing effect due fermentation on the elixir:(

Yair, thank you for the lecture on this wonderful fruit, by its Biblical-New Age qualities is praised as food and as inspiration to many people and poets and lovers...If this fruit would have a gender, You would be a Pomegranat of sacred Knowledge...Good luck Yair...Marra

Yair, Many thanks for your visit to my Peace Park Labyrinth album and all of your gracious comments. I appreciate your friendship and look forward to many more of your great albums. This is an interesting album. Henry just bought a bottle of pomengranite juice as it is supposed to be very healthy (also VERY expensive). Carol
