Hi Andy- Nice to meet you. :) Of course you can call me mj. Coming from you, those comments on my pics mean a lot! Somedays I get the braincramp and forthelifeofme cannot remember the names of these great birds, animals or flowers. I love it when someone lets me know. If you ever figure out the name of the egghead, please let me know. A few years ago- lol- make that decadeish, I lived in south London, in a veryvery old gatehouse on Morden Park. Your pictures sure bring me back to the wild garden we had. It's a wonderful country you live in! Check back in a few weeks- when you have time- my new lens and I are practicing working together and I have a load of bird pictures to sort. Aren't they some of the best creatures on earth?

Thank you Andy for your lovely recent comments. Rowney is quite small and managed by the Forestry Commission.I was delighted to see so many insects, I thought I was in Heaven! I also saw a grass snake eating a frog and found that rather distressing! Mornings seem to be the best time for Webshots, at the moment evenings are so slow! Thanks again for your kindness. Big hugs, Anne (UK)

I went through your work here twice. The second time around I noticed alot more details. A FINE group of shots Andy. Lots to examine in each picture if one studies carefully.

Andy, I think you have been very modest about your photography experience. You look like you shoot for a profession. These birds are just beautiful and could be in any nature calendar. Your photos are so clear, colorful, and detailed. The captions are a delight to read. You have it all going on here, my friend! I used to teach school (2nd grade in the States), and I always had a 6 week lesson on birds. I love the creatures, and they really inspired the children to learn many different skills in various subjects. They applied language skills, math skills, science and everything they could to make it combine with the study of birds. You could tell how much they enjoyed learning. I may have to come back and finish viewing your albums, but I WILL see all the new ones. You're a great photographer and a great friend. Thanks for both, Andy! - Carole

Andy, I am honoured to become one of your friends. Thanks for asking. I have enjoyed the new additions! They are great. The goldcrest in my album was really hard work as that little bird never stayed in place for more than one second! Hope you get one soon. Take care. Anne (UK)

You are very, very good at catching these birds in their natural habitat. I am very impressed. I'm having some trouble with my computer so I'll come back tomorrow and write some individual notes. Have a great day.
