    • Hi Yair, what beautiful flowers! I don't think I've ever seen one of these trees. They look amazing in full bloom and the photos are beautiful. Great detail. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for your kind comments on our cat photos in the felines feature. Since Annie is the first one when you open it, we've taken to calling her #1 Kitty, and she knows it (so spoiled). Rudy was a wonderful and fun cat but is no longer with us--that photo is from 1989. Have a great weekend, Marisa.

    • Yair. The Royal Poinciana is real jewel! Very pretty! ..........I spoke with a guy at CNET in California. They are aware of the Webshots slideshow problem and are working through the weekend to fix it. It is due to the added security measures in IE 7.0. They will emial me as soon as it is corrected. I expressed my frustration in trying to get technical information when problems occur. He said they will be expanding the blog to handle such. Do you use the blog? Rick (Gilbert, Arizona).

    • Ciao My Dear Yair, Thank You for all of your lovely comments in my albums over the last 10days or so & forgive me for not getting back to you earlier... I had to fly out for a few days to Washington DC & Then New York for talks & meetings, this time it was Offical Reasons.. pro Israeli International Law Rights.. & I,m very happy with the results, but it did make alot of others quite livid to say the least. When other powers try to bend The International Laws to fit their agenda on Israel, I take a very hard line & the gloves come off.. until the Laws are straightened back out as they are supposed to be. Also Markus My Brother who is also Fighting in Israel for as long as needed asked me to Check in on Maggie his wife in Virginia, which I did as we are very close & when I got there Maggie was packed with the the rest of their children & said, Bella take us home with you. This I wasn,t expecting, but it wasn,t a surprise as I know Maggie so well & how much she misses not just Markus & her 2 oldest sons who are also Israeli Soldiers, but her faimly as well. So that took me another 24hrs to get clearance.. now I think nearly all of my faimly except my Daughter is now back in our homes in Jerusalem.. I haven,t been home yet to do a head count Yair as there is just so much other work to be on standby for at this time.. Legal Clearance is a 24/7 on call hard slog as things keep changing so quickly with this conflict. But Please Dear God let this be over soon.. I pray. I was born in 1959 in Jerusalem Yair so none of this is new to me.. it is having to not let oneself get emotionaly involed that is the hardest part.. one never makes the right decisions when the heart is blocking reason & logic. We all keep working & praying for one thing, Peace, Blessed Peace. Take good care of you & God Keep you & Your faimly sure in Heart & Safe In Body.. Shalom Israel. Everfaithfully bella.

    • Hi Yair, I love flamboyants, I had some plants I had grown from seeds I collected in a little park of Sderot Ben Gurion in Bat Yam some years ago. I remember there were a lot of people speaking djudezmo in that park. Very funny the way one makes germinate these stone-hard beans. Here is the recipe: boil water, when the water is boiling, stop heating ( put the pan out of the fire) and pour immediately the flamboyant beans into the still or almost boiling water, leave them in the water for two to three minutes and then you can pot the beans, two cm deap (not important the depth). Germination is rapid. Here begins the tricky part: don't overwater or the seeds will get moldy and die, keep just them wet, but don't let the pot soil bone-dry either. If you can't water them for a while, cover each pot with a transparent film with some very little, tiny, holes for ventilation If you have children (or little nephews), they will be very happy to "produce" their own flamboyant. They grow very well in pots, keep them in the shade when they are still small. Adapt them progressively to the sun when they are older. They loose their leaves during the dry season in the Mascaregne islands where they come from, and, as you have noticed, during "cold" winter in warm mediterranean climates like in coastal Israel. Can't leave messages under the pics for some reasons, but they are beautiful. Congrats and have a nice week! Gerard

This magestic tree grows too in Mauritius and, by experience, I can say that it is very difficult to picture it. How did you took your flowers close ups? Were you standing on a ladder? Waiting eagerly for some more masterpieces from you. You pictures could be used to teach learners the art of photography. Keep on your fine work. Alain from Mauritius Island.

    • Hi Yair, I see you went in the tree business, too! This is one of my favorite trees. Often they are cut just like a Hibiscus fence which mostly cuts their beauty down. Your Macros are fantastic! Much better than mine! I couldn't catch the different parts of the flower so well. Yours are MAGNIFICENT!!! Have a wonderful day - and hopefully an other tree to capture! Galit :-)

    • Hi Yair, yes, my column declared war to me in these last days! And it still hurts a lot when I walk, when I make certain movements or after being sat for a while, I'm looking like a 80 years old lady when I walk! Some of them even provoke me envy:) Still making examinations to discover the cause... It's the fourth time I stay like this since I had a car accident three years ago. Thank you so much for your care and votes. I really shouldn't be by the computer yet, but, as you know, it's difficult to resist... I really believe that your town's streets are beautiful with such beautiful trees blooming. I got an idea of what you say seeing your photo number 4. A real pleasure to see such a ravishing vision! Thank you also for the Time Ticker site adress, it's much useful to know if our Webshots friends are sleeping or awaked, among other things :) All the best, Rosa

    • Hi Yair! The Royal Poinciana is really a beautiful tree! I had never seen it, I think... at least that I remember. And I don't think I would forget such a wonderful blooming! How unusual that petals detail, one of them different from the others... And the foliage is also so pretty and delicate! I loved all the photos, I was trying to choose favorites but it would be almost all of them:) Once again, you have introduced to me something I didn't knew at all... Excellent photos, as usual, some great screensavers for me...:) Well done! I don't know exactly what time is in Israel now, so, I wish you a very good week and all the best, Rosa
