It seems strange when you comment about the 'buddleia' being too plentiful, we buy them in our garden centres to plant in our gardens. They have such a beautiful blue color and such differently shaped petals with that unique cross cut that looks like a tailor has been busy trimming their petals with pinking shears. Red Pandas are not related to Giant Pandas at all and I can't understand how they ended up with such similar names. Giant pandas are bears, while Red Pandas are more closely related to the North American raccoons and weasels and the South America coatimundi. The Red Panda (common name: fire cat because of its beautiful fiery color and facial resemblance to a cat) is an endangered tree dweller found only in the forests surrounding the Himalayas. It is poached for it fur and preyed upon mainly by Clouded Leopards. </font>

Chers amis, je sais: j'ai à nouveau innondé votre boîte à e-mails avec mes commentaires sur vos photos, mais je l'aurais aussi bien fait pour chacune d'entre elles (encore heureux que je me suis retenue un peu, non?). C'est qu'il y a toujours quelque chose de remarquable dans vos images (et on peut aussi aimer une photo sans qu'il y ait une raison spéciale, n'est-pas?). En tout cas, j'ai beaucoup aimé cet album! Que de l'excellent travail comme d'habitude! Et je m'en vais dans la cuisine... et, après, un moment dans le jardin, où maintenant que les jardiniers ont fait le plus gros du travail (j'ai fait installer en plus une serre pour pouvoir jouir quelque peu du jardin quand il fait mauvais -chose habituelle par ici-), donc, maintenant Tatiana et moi jardinons sans arrêt (des petits plants à repiquer, nous ne pouvons aller plus loin que ça!!!!)Et après: vite le kinésitherapeute!!! The poppies are beautiful and they reminded me of a neighbor of mine the served during the Second World War when he got home he planted poppies in his yard. Bonjour Käthi & Henri. J'ai eu beaucoup de plaisir à contempler ces petits bouts de Nature dans votre si joli pays de Béarn. J'aime beaucoup votre département, le béarn et aussi le pays basque où mon grand-père s'était fait construire une maison dans les années 30. Cette villa basque existe encore à Biarritz, mais malheureusement elle n'est plus à la famille. Grand merci pour votre petit mot dans mon "guestbook" de l'album sur la cantabrie. Enjoyed this wonderful nature walk with you, especially through those magnificent fields of Poppies. Your river is so calm and you found so many pretty flowers to photograph too. Interesting Pond with all those tadpoles, etc that you 'caught' with your camera. Well done!! Yes, the introduced Buddleia is so pretty and attractive to Butterflies, but it has also been declared an Environmental Weed in Australia.
