The Ruby-throated hummingbirds found in this album have been digitally "captured" while dining at the feeders on our deck. Only males have a "ruby" throat. Interesting fact: Hummingbirds cannot walk or hop; they are exclusively adapted for flight.

  • I love to watch the hummers spat their way through a summer's day. I read once in a birding book that the only words in their language are cuss words. Their actions carry that out.
