  • Keep up the good work! I grew up with these fabulous birds in the Whiteshell, and several were resident near where I lived in southeastern Manitoba from '98 to '04. Every sighting was amazing. I'm now in southwestern Saskatchewan so don't see them at all. I will check back often to see your new additions to this album. Many thanks and best regards from Ruth Marie/Herbert/Sask.

  • These photos are breathtaking. I've only seen one of these fellows once in my life. We had an elm tree outside the kitchen window with marrow bones and suet nailed to it. He came one morning, cleaned out a marrow bone and spent an hour jack-hammering the tree for goodies.
