Partly enclosed by 16th-century walls, Peniche is almost entirely dependent on the sea. Its fishing industry and port, fishermen, trawlers and seagulls mark the atmosphere of this town, with its whitewashed houses and narrow streets.

  • Hello Ant�nio, Thanks for your kind words on my Lisbon album. If an inhabitant of Lisbon likes the album, it can not be too bad. I think you live in a fantastic city. I had a very good time during my 5 days trip, beautiful buildings, fine atmosphere and friendly people. That was my second time in Portugal after my visit of the Algarve (Carvoeiro) last year. Of course I have with much interest looked at your album of Peniche and Baleal. Your album proves again how beautiful Portugal is. The impressive rocks of Cape Carvoeiro are breathtaking and the beauty of Baleal and Peniche is breathtaking. The photos are fantastic, you really know how to capture the essence of the region.
