"And He tells me I am His own; And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known." I used that song when I sang in our Nazarene church teen contest. I won from our church then in the citywide with How Great Thou Art. I was supposed to compete in the District competition but landed in the hospital and the second place person had to fill my spot. Hi Sharon! How many different seasons do you have at the gardens? You've been there lots of times and it's always different, but beautiful. Hi Sharon and Bob..This beautiful place is even more beautiful in Autumn and each time I see it in photos. I am just in awe of the scenery with the pond, the vibrant leaves, bridges, flowers, trees, and so much more. I was going to comment on the photos that I especially liked, but that meant the whole album! I really love them all and I have downloaded many for desktop pics. I think this is your best album of the gardens...but then they are all good and if I look at another I might think its the best. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous place with us. So we looked in our books just now and found: The crocus are from family: Iridaceae; the Meadow Saffran (Colchicum autumnale) is from family: Liliaceae. But there forms look so simular...! Hi Sharon & Bob, The Botanical gardens are beautiful and as always your photography is excellent as well. The gardens are as beautiful in the Fall as they are in the Spring & Summer when they are in full bloom. I wish one of our upstate cities had the funding and support to develop something similar to the St. Louis gardens. I thoroughly enjoyed your latest album. I enjoy taking every walk w/you through the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It too reminds me of that beautiful old hymn......... What I enjoy most is watching the change of seasons, especially in the Japanese Gardens. What a blessing God has gifted us w/in the beauty of His creation. Dear Sharon and Bob, My walk through "your" botanical garden in the full splendor of fall colors was sheer joy and a treat for my eyes! Some deciduous trees just turn brown and then sit there bare and naked until next spring. But the ones you photographed go out in a blaze of glory that makes you stop and wonder..... Thanks for the advance invitation and private showing before this album gets featured - which is not a question of if, but when. I would say it's about time!
