I grew up a few blocks from this park. It was great to be able to ride my bicycle in it. All the trails you see used to be just overgrown footpaths through a vine covered woodland. They took down a lot of trees for the spaces you see. For a few years we did not need to use the public pool there since the river was right there. Alas over the years the polution forced us out of the river and into the pool. If you follow the path to the river there was, maybe still is a footbridge and down below is where we swam. A long wooden floating dock was the jumping off point. The water is muddy but it served its purpose at the time. Kids dont care about clean or dirty water when its 100 degrees outside. I learned to drive a car in that park. When I was younger I caught a 4 pound bass out of the fish pond. Got my photo in the paper for that. These photos show a much cleaner and revamped park that hardly resembles the park I used to know. Love the photos.

Hi Susie, This is a very pretty album of autumn colors. too bad the falls wasn't falling. Is this where you started out to one weekend and had to turn back because of bad weather - and now went another weekend? At any rate, lovely pictures. Carol
