Merike - I am sure Galit was thrilled by this blizzard of an album :D! So was I, now that it's finally warmer here in houston (15C) I enjoy looking at the snow. This has been the coldest winter since we moved here 3 years ago, Houston is subtropical but we had many days with freezing 3 days ago -3 even! My poor hybiscus, ginger and some palms are very badly freezer burned, but hopefully some of the bad insects are frozen too? :D. Thanks also for stopping to say hello to Oporto and Ms, Cimmy ! Just an answer before having a look at your new albums;I think the best time to visit Portugal is after the 15th of September till the first of November. The tourist already gone or just leaving, the summer still going on - as I said till the first days of November. The winter - at least here on the coastal areas - starts about the 15th of December. This year it has been raining alot - they say more than in 42 years, so I can´t guarantee, but for me this is a paradise this time of the year. Hi Merike! Thank you for your comments in my Goa album. I understand India's weather is nowhere like this album, except in the extreme north. Goa is very pleasant in January and Febeuary. The temp is in the 70s and 80s. Not at all hot! I am interested in history, also in history of religions. Best wishes and regards, Suresh

Hi Merike, thanks for visiting my Story Gardens album and for all your kind words. This album shows 7 gardens which are located close to each other. my next album will show 7 other garden located around the city. All this is part of the effort to change the image of that city and to attract young couples to move to there. I guess they succeed in that, as you could see in some of the pictures, lots of tall buildings are built these days in the city. As for the stories, unfortunately I could not find an English translation to most of them so it's harder to understand the reason for all those sculptures, but still they are attractive and I'm glad that you like them. Very nice pictures of Winter in Helsinki! I especially liked the winter pictures of the Sibelius Monument in the snow. While the pictures were very beautiful, I prefer Tucson, Arizona USA weather the best. Today is supposed to be 27 degrees Celsius here. I admire you for getting out in all that snow to take those pictures.

Hi Merike! So this is what you have been busy doing! A great album! I have never been to Finland, but even when you do go abroad, it is usually in the summer, when places present differently to what they do in winter. This is what the Hebrides are like in winter, yet looking at our son, David's pictures of the Western Isles in the summer, you not dream that they lie so close to the Arctic Circle!
