Maria, re your question: yes, they've been taken with the 5D. The 5D is the first camera I have that meets the resolution requirements that WS has to publish pro shots :o) Ciao! Roberto

As they state here: http://www.webshots.com/support/help/photoguideline.html , they want you to use a camera with at least 11 MP resolution. The 5D is 12.7 and still you have to resize the pics up a bit (so, basically, no cropping is possible) :o)

The trip west was done when there wasn't a lot of clutter in the sky, hence the brilliant blues, but I did use a polarizer, because sometimes light at altitude contains a lot of glare and color distortion (the priciple reason I typically use this filter). It would have been a great thrill to have your company while traveling through this terrain, especially since you'd been down the same road before. I DID shoot a lot of frames, but I try to be sensible about what I load to W/S, not wanting to overstate my point. You may have read a comment I sometimes make, "One doesn't have to consume the entire cake to know it's sweetness..." or some variation of that. Maria, thank you so much for your kind and helpful comments on my albums. I really do need to change my old shots from such low resolution to high resolution. PhotoShop is great - my favorite software, but then again, it's only one I know really well. Some of the "Dreams" album were using PhotoShop to create reflections that were not in the original pictures. I have many of your images downloaded now and am enjoying them daily. Tibby

Hey, Maria! Thanks for your comments. Actually in the "Dreams" album, only the pictures with water in them are digitized! PhotoShop allows you to copy the top of the picture, paste it below and rotate it to look like a reflection. It's great because you can take a hum-drum photo and make it magical. The sunrays photo is not touched up at all. We are SO lucky to have this view in our backyard. I've only got 1,897,978 more backyard sunray photos..haha. Tibby

Maria, I just discovered that you commented upon my images (24 days ago). Finding communication between myself and other Webshots photogs to be unwieldy (and sometimes daunting), I guess writing a comment on your page is the only way I can find to tell you that YOUR images are second to none that I've ever seen on Webshots. Fabulous subject matter (Living in CA doesn't hurt, does it?), excellent composition, and Photoshop work that I'd like lessons on! I can't wait to get back to working my way through all your albums. It's not too difficult, although a tripod is a good idea :o) Just try, no one taught me, I just tried (and the first attempts were quite bad ;o) ) and learnt by trial and error. And I've started using in different situations (like inside the Canterbury Cathedral). There is a downside: they take so much longer to prepare! ;o) Ciao! Roberto

I clicked on this one to make a comment on the page as a whole, and that was to the effect that "5 Blue Delight" really stood out as the photo of the page!!! And then I loked at this one (Sweeping Clouds)and started to doubt my judgment. Be positive, I said to myself (I like talking to intellect!). O.K.
