What a wonderful picture! I grew up near here. I camped out just below this scene and have scooted down the frozen snow on the rock slide over to the left. I live in a beautiful place (Battle Ground, WA) but I miss this! Now I can have a little mini-vaction with one of my favorite places in all the world. Hello Sharon! What a glorious tribute to the stunnigly beautiful scenes of autumn! The Aspen trees in the autumn season take on such a beautiful golden hue and everything around them turn to poetry, as if by magic. The Maroon Bells, majestic and brooding watches over the changing scenery. My wife and I were in Aspen last winter and took several pictures of Maroon Bells, snow bound, of course. Dear Sharon and Bob - What a wonderful album - and in its best decor and setting of Colorado's Fall colors! I can understand why you are drawn back to this place. I had followed you on your earlier album and could not resist taking the - easy for me - photo hike along the trail with you again! My biggest regret while traveling INTENSE COLORADO FROM CORNER TO CORNER was having to pass up the Maroon Bells as we drove by. I always enjoy your scenic photos- my only regret being that Webshots does not permit us to download them in their original hi-res size - they have copied so many features from Flick'r, but missed adding this one! I am sure your original photos are much better than my WS downloads! Congratulations on another one of your many great albums. Hi Sharon, I never noticed that all your featured albums were from Missouri. Maybe this one will change things! Regardless of the albums that WS select to be featured, your albums are featured on a daily basis by all WS members and that's what matters! Hi Sharon & Bob, You guy's take such great photo's, I love this new album :) As I mentioned before I'm planning on getting a lumix camera but I'm undecided on which to get any info you can give me would greatly be appreciated. The FZ7 is a better fit pocket book wise but I'm unsure due to ISO problems with shooting 400 or above. Do you have any problems with that? I like to shoot wildlife and I'm looking forward to having the powerful zoom lens that these camera's offer. Hello Sharon and Bob, I have seldom seen such a beautiful scenery as the Maroon bells, the lake and hiking trail. The color of the golden aspens are beyond compare.
