Wow, Darlene, an awesome experience wonderfully captured by your camera!!!! Great album. We live in suburban Houston and have a birdhouse in our heavily treed (at least before hurricane Ike it was) yard. All of the sudden last winter I hear crashing through the branches about 5ft from the house where the birdfeeder is and see feathers flying and screetching and before I knew it a hawk flew off with one of the wild little doves (the mate was left alone)...then he kept coming back...waiting on our roof...eating the squirels..and small birds...the nobody would come back to the birdhouse and the hawk didn't come back either...a month ago, he was back trying to get one of the squirells again...Nature...Hey thanks for your nice words on my Love of Horses album a few months ago, too. Sorry I am so late responding...but that Hurricane threw me off quite a few months and I am just now catching up slowly. Cheers. Marita

Teriffic shots of that hawk! It is just a wonderful treat when they show up to "let" us watch them for awhile. If you get a moment, take a look at the barred owl that landed in my yard awhile ago.

Great shots of these Halks! My dad put up a nesting box covered in bark for a Woodpecker that was banging against our house but it left and two Kestrels moved in, and have been rearing young in the box for over the last 12 years. Lots of fun watching the parent birds fly in like fighter jets at high speed. They are very shy so we pretty much leave them be, gettting glimpes as they come and go, or when the young start looking out the hole at their new world. Thanks for checking out my parrot! He's not a talker but has quite a personality. -Gordo
