Our 1st holiday of 2007, spent in the Peak District. It certainly was a cloudy, windy & wet one, but at least it was warm!

Hello Angela and a very happy new year to you (and to Bailey, of course). I have been all through this album on the new slide show, which is why there are no comments on individual photos and you have taken some excellent photos in sometimes very trying conditions. I can imagine how it would have been in gale force winds like that and you were very brave attempting such walks when you did. The Peak District is noted far and wide for it's beautiful scenery and you have shown us enough of that to really whet our appetites for more!! Please!! Strangely enough a few weeks ago we were walking a headland two or three hundred kilometers north of us when we met and got chatting to a couple who actually live in the Peak District and who had come over here to watch the cricket! Poor souls!! Anyway, it's nice to see another album from you and if you get the chance to look in my new Point D'Entrecasteaux album you will find YOUR type of scenery, I'm sure! All best wishes from down under, with love and hugs, Peter

Hello Angela, another delightfully descriptive album of your walks. Not weather for walking in my book, afraid to say I would have been with your husband & going in the caves! I did do a ride round this area on dec 28th, in fact I usually do every time we go up to daughters ( more often now we have a grandson!) great area to explore with so much to see. Eric

Hi again Angela, thanks for viewing my Chil fjords & BA albums & you kind words. Did you see countryfile today 11am BBC1 ? Presented from this area (Hope valley) with several nice features, but knowing you the call of the sunshine had you out walking again! I was up there again last week, every 4-6 weeks now we have a grandson in south Sheffield. Replying to your comment about how much I travel, the answer is I was injected with wanderlust at an early age! 6/7 years old I was off roaming the woods, lanes & fields in our little hamlet! Would not happen now, parents would be locked up for allowing it, such is how life changes. Later in school days I was always in the library reading National Geographic mags, so it must be there fault! Have been told no more big hols or long flights now, so have to explore the lanes & fields again! Take care. Eric
