Album Description:
Hummingbirds are a real challenge. They are unbelievably fast and flighty (literally!). I plan to post my favorite hummingbird photos in the album. (I am sure it will build slowly, but it will be a project that I will love!)

Oh, who doesn't love a hummingbird??? These are just gorgeous and such great shots!!! I've never seen a hummer even near our bird bath, so I guess they just bathe in the privacy of darkness... Thank you so very much for sharing... Betty from Georgia...

Just superb. We've seen only one hummingbird on our feeders this year and it's getting late. Thanks for sharing. Bill

Amazing to see one sit in one spot for that long! They define flighty! I have a few hummers this year already but since my huge trees wont bloom this year from late freezes we may not get as many as usual. Super series!

Beautiful pics! I will try and get some of ours up here but they are just homemade, not professional looking at all... anyway, I have to share that my 13 year old son caught a hummingbird last Saturday and we had it in our butterfly pavilion overnight and we were going to let it go the next morning but it passed away overnight. :-( Poor baby! That was on Mothers Day... but what GORGEOUS BIRDS! Thanks for sharing your pictures. You are very talented and I grew up in southern and central California (I'be been transplanted in eastern Washington) so I REALLY appreciate the beauty of California in your photos. Well this has gone long. :-p Lena

I wanted to tell you that your hummingbird pictures are wonderful. What a thrill it is to see and photograph these marvelous birds. I have had hummingbirds sit on my finger many times while visiting friends in Eagle, Colorado. We have pictures of that great experience. Keep up the good work. Your pictures are great!

Great stuff Lynn! The patience you must have to get these shots must be intense. I too like to shoot hummingbirds(In the photographic sense only). I wait in my bathrobe for long minutes if not hours for them to show up and stay still long enough to capture. Yours are the best I've seen. You have my admiration. Man, are these great pictures. I can't say enough, except keep up the terrific work. Best Regards, jamieO aka Hepschlep

Wow Lynn excellent album! I hardly ever see them here in Florida, but when I was in CA a couple weeks ago I captured a couple of them. They are so fast so I know how difficult it can be to get them.

I don't know why I haven't seen this earlier, but I'm happy to find it now that we're home again, Lynn. Hummingbirds are such flighty cratures and now easy to capture!

Thanks for the gorgeous pictures. I'm a crazy quilter who has already "painted" the rufous hummingbird in silk ribbon.... am keeping some of your pictures for other color possibilities. We have hummingbirds that go after our pineapple sage, butterfly bush and turks cap. Fascinating birds.

Fascinating little creatures! We don't see them here and so it was a real pleasure to be able to see them in action. Thanks for sharing. Joyce

Just beautiful. I find it hard to capture those little fast flying birds. I will have to us some patience this coming summer to capture them. Great job on album. Maxine
