Hi Maria, These photos are just awesome! I wanted to post a message, but your message board wouldn't allow it. And I wanted to answer your question as to how I did my barn photo....I just took that photo, them I used the photoshop filter "posterize" or "solerize" to get the effect. Dear Maria! Just read the message you posted on my board and wanted to reply on YOUR board, but it seems that only you can (at the moment). You're so sweet! You haven't offended me in the least! I guess that since I'm a Capricornian (January 5), I tend to analyze everything down to the most minute detail! This trait seems to rule my life, whether I like it or not! Regarding WS, I scrutinize every photo or artwork, very often vacillating between similar captures (whatever the subject matter) until I decide which one (or ones) I want to download! Believe me: I complicate my life! I guess I should "lighten up" and not take things so seriously. Glad that you're enjoying your new camera and judging from some of your friends' comments, you've already moved on from the beginner's stage. Hello, Maria, I wish to thank you for your comments on my work. I noticed your magnificent photos already some time ago. I think they are one of the best in webshots. You asked me whether I`m a professional photographer. What are the criteria by which we judge whether one is a professional photographer or not? :) Anyway, I have not attended any photo-school (it was all a big self-education project) and I have never earned any money with this. This is simply the best way I can spend my free time - travelling across my homeland and bringing back some quality result. My Pentax camera has 10 megapixels, and all these photos were shot with Pentax DA 16-45mm lens, mostly at the widest end. I will indeed come up with some new albums in the nearest future. I will create a couple of albums with some earlier photos and also one album featuring Autumn 2007 in Latvia. Well, now I have quite a formidable task - to thank the people from all over the world who have sent me so many sincere and warm words.
