We stayed in a cottage at Witherslack in October about 10 years ago. After a very dry spell, the heavens opened for the week, so we spent most of our time paddling. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to go up Whitbarrow and we've never been back. I'll have to put that right. Best wishes, Dave.
