Hi Rod - did I ever get to wish you a Happy New Year I wonder? It's been a long time, for sure. Jill left me a message telling me about this album so I dropped everything and came running! So good to see your photos again and this album contains some classic ROD shots! Wonderful work and I have left a few comments as I went along. Is this your first visit to the Lakes and has it whetted your appetite for more? It's not quite so rugged as your beloved Scotland but is beautiful in it's own wonderful way and I have lasting memories of day trips and longer stays. I have no doubt that you have one or two more albums up your sleeve from this trip and am eagerly awaiting them! Great to see you back here and I'll catch up with you again over the coming weeks. Hi Rod, As expected this album is filled with beautiful shots. I eagerly await your next visit up there. There are SO many photos waiting to be taken. I have been up there so many times and still have not seen it all. I probably never will. Do try to visit the western lakes when you go back. They are so peaceful. I really enjoyed going through this Rod. I am off to the Scottish highlands in just over 2 weeks and desperately hoping the weather picks up. I am going with my brother and family and they have already been there so know lots of wonderful places for us to visit. I have bought extra memory cards as I have a feeling I will need them. I love this album it is as I remebered it. Certainly an area I want to see again along with Yorkshire Dales (my home turf) and Scotland. It looks like you had good weather for these shots. Dear Rod, Thanks so much for your visit to the first of my November Lakes visit albums I still have some from the summer to get online to be honest but the autumn ones got online first for a special reason. We were there for the remembrance day walk to Great Gable and those pictures are now online. It was as always a very moving day made all the more special as light snowflakes were falling on us at 11am and just after the skies cleared and we were treated to the most stunning views you get from Gable's Summit. The next time you visit the Lakes you should try and visit Watendlath its a delightful hamlet at the end of the road where Ashness Bridge is. That location you would love especially on a day when there is a perfect sky and theres always the lovely tea shop at Watendlath too which was unfortunately closed in mid November. A great album with some beatiful photos of a very scenic district. I have spent some time here in my travels and enjoyed the experience. I have a freind in Barrow-in-Furness and spent some time with her exploring England and Scotland. I just love it,so it was good to view your photos. Will have to look in on more of your photos of UK. Just had to visit and say thank you for the comments on my POTD, snow cabin. It was such a surprise when I started getting guestbook entry's. I do love good scenery photo's because there are places in this world that I'll never get to any other way. My grandfather was born in Scotland so I consider England and Scotland as a place that I would like to visit some day. These are beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

Dear Rod, Every time I visit your albums, I know I shall be in for a treat, and this album hasn't let me down. Such breathtaking scenery, and stunning photography, just take my breath away. (You even had the courage to capture the waterfall 'au naturell'. Delightful....I am not a great fan of wet-cotton-wool-waterfall s.) So pleased you enjoyed my bluebells.
