Hello Merike, Nice album with beautiful ships! I was there a few years ago, when I went to Thailand, but then it was winter. Please comeback sometime to see my other photos? Best regards, Tom from Zeist, The Netherlands. www.tomjutte.tk

Terve Merike, Glad to see that you are enjoying your summer. Thank you for sharing these wonderful glimpses of marine engineering and associated architecture. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and inspiration in my album. No, you do not have to learn Latin, if you are interested I can mail you the meanings. Have a nice evening. It must be great to live so close to the ocean Merike! A port is such an interesting place and your photographs captured the excitement wonderfully.

Merike, this is a very beautiful and very impressive album. I love those Sailing boats and especially that Russian 'Captain Hook'-like one. The port must be very large and deep when those monumental ships can drop anchor there. It was really nice to see an additional part of your wonderful city! - Lots of hugs to you! - Galit

Merike, thanks for sharing more of Helsinki with us. I've seen so many pictures of Helsinki in your albums but I can't recall seeing the port. It must be very interesting to visit there as well and see all kind of ships, especially the tall ships. We usually can find yachts only... Thanks for your kind words in my Almond Tree album. You already visited it in Fotki and it was great to read your very kind words here as well! Wishing you a wonderful day, Yair. PS: I will be travelling in Iceland in August so I can feel the colder weather in Northern Europe instead of the hot and humid weather that we have on summer...

Hi Merike, these are great shots of the tall ships. I have seen some a few years ago in the Port of Montreal. Must be exciting to sail on one of these. As for your comment on my aircraft pictures, I live near the Montreal International Airport and Finnair does not fly on Montreal, but probably on Toronto, which is 6 hours away from me. If I ever get one of these, I will surely post it in my album. Best regards from Dick, Montreal, Canada

Merike, This is a very intersting album with not only tall ships, but naval and passenger ships as well. It would be fun to go to the market there. Thanks for sharing this fascinating part of your city. Hugs, Carol
