Dear Eric! We are off on the 1st Jan to Antarctica! How time flies! In the mean time, I have been reading a lot about the voyage etc. The recurring theme seems to be bad weather, gales and the horrendous churning during the crossing of Drake's passage. Both of us are prone to sea sickness! Is the journey to Abtarctica as bad as it is made out to be ? Or is it just the worst case scenario? I wish your family and you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2009! Best wishes, Suresh

Hey Eric, this is some amazing album, and in some cases spectacular. It's awesome the way you caught the flocks in mass...and their formations...just astounding. As I close, thanks for visiting my Magnolia album. Regards from Ron.

Eric, it has been a while since I had a closer look at your site. I was busy with holidays and guests and later with the new pictures and Creative Challenges! Thanks for your kind comments!! :-) I see you didn't participate the last one. I know Halloween only from the web, so I really didn't know what to submit. This way I got to this wonderful album. It left me speechless and the wish to comment every single picture. I have never seen anything like this. Your pictures are spectacular! Every single one! - Have a wonderful day! - Galit

Thank you for inviting me to see this wonderful album, Eric! You're right, of course... you do have more birds than we do! Imagine if they all came and roosted on your house... it would be like something out of 'The Birds'!! Jokes aside, it was a wonderful experience and thank you for sharing it! Best wishes, Mandy

Hello, Eric. Thank you so much for the invitation to view this album! I enjoyed it very much. What a spectacle!! Alfred Hitchcock could have filmed "The Birds" here. Thanks also for the kind comment on my Sandhill Crane album. They are so interesting to watch, but do not allow people to get close, so they are difficult to photograph. ...Regina

Dear Eric, Well haven't you been having a lot of fun whether the weather was good and not so bright and you have some great photo's Those patterns the birds make en masse always amaze me and how they ever don't bump into each other is a mystery. Seems I need to come to Norfolk to see your dragonflies and you need to come to Kent to see the different butterflies we have here. Take care now, Jill

Hi Eric: what a spectacular album! What you lived there on the coast, observing this sympathetic invasion, if of course a hundred times more worth than sitting in front of the TV (even withs a nature program). We have the impression that you spent there a night...? Also, through several visits, you could observe changing compositions and behaviour. Well - that's the kind of "lifetime experience"! - Thank you for your kind message and comments (Sept. 23)in our last "River and Ponds" album. Yes, we are still children - and like popping Impatiens seeds... When you have the chance to get a big one, you even get frightened - feel like a little explosion in the hand... - Best wishes: Kaethi and Henri
