The Colors Of My World, Oct. 2007

Hi Ray, this is a very nice album, and I enjoyed the slideshow very much. The detailed colors are extraordinary. I also wanted to answer your Q's on my three photos a week...Q.Do you know how old they might be Larry? Maybe there were some Voyeurs who walked in these shoes (snow shoes that is). These are quite the treasure. Did you know it's becoming popular to make these historic snowshoes for use today? ...I have no idea how old these snowshoes are, my quess would be well over a hundred years. They are on the wall of our Nature Center...Q2...This is beautiful. What kind of ruins is this? It looks like winter still has a pretty good grip on your part of the world Larry...Actually Ray I presume you are referring to these old lime kilns in the background. This quarry was active in the early part of the 1900's but it is simply a park now...The stone here was used to build houses in the local town and the surrounding area...I will be posting a complete album shortly...Thanks for your interest Ray...Take care now, Larry

Hi Ray! It looks like autumn has certainly arrived in all its glory in NY! And it looks like Frankie has been getting to enjoy it with you. I want to look at all your fall foliage albums when time permits. I went to the surgeon yesterday and she said I was "good to go", so Bob and I are heading to the zoo today. Then I wake up and am thrilled to see my Maroon Bells album featured. But we'll go to the zoo as planned--it's going to be in the 70's today and it's gorgeous. The answer to your question about the album is that "No, the Maroon Bells album has never been featured before!" I have only had albums featured from right here in the St. Louis area. I was so excited to see one of my Colorado albums featured that I actually cried this morning when I saw it there! Call me silly, but it was very emotional for me! I'll get back to you later.
