Hi Dar, No...we're not close...we're right in the middle of all the wildfires! Everything that I own is packed in the trunk of my car - just in case! It's beginning to look like they may have saved our valley, though. Hopefully, the winds will die down & they can get a handle on all the fires. It's been a wild week! Thanks for the concern! Hi Darlene! You asked me where i had taken the photo "Around The Pond". I'm sorry, but I acn't recall just what pond this is for sure. I was taking my 12 year old(at that time) nephew out to try his new camera and i took him to several ponds and lakes in the Adirondacks. We drove from Plattsburgh through Peasleeville and took several side roads until we reached Saranac Lake then returned via Lake Placid and then Rt 73 and Rt. 9. The shot might have been in Elizabethtown, but it might have been on the road that runs from the bottom of the ski jumps on Rt.73 back to Rt.86
