Hi Jill, I've never seen Whitby so quiet. Even when we've been in October it's been busy. It's a lovely place and I'm sure we'll visit again sometime. Best wishes, Dave.

Lovely set of pictures Jill. Never been to Whitby - it was always too far away, there's a chance I might be able to remedy that now, it looks lovely. Jayne

Hello Jill, really enjoyed your pictures of Whitby, you managed to find a few angles and places I didn't find when I passed through recently on my Cleveland Way walk. Therefore, as I thought at the time, I must go back and explore the town properly, it would be good to spend time in St. Hilda's Abbey but for some reason I always feel bad about having to pay to see our national heritage, well that's Scots for you I suppose. Why no pictures of the Goth wedding? When my wife Joy & I went to Sheffield Playhouse to see Derek Jakocbi in Schiller's Don Carlos (ranking as one of the best nights theatre I have ever enjoyed) we passed a Goth wedding coming out of the Registrars Office, took my breath away... and if only I had my camera! A good Christmas wish to you and your family. Freddie.

Dear Jill, On our visit to Whitby last year it was so crowded that we just couldn't enjoy it and left as soon as we could. We did however promise ourselves that we would return one day. Hope you fpund some inspiratuon for your Christmas shopping. I'd have loved to have seen the bride in the red dress :o) Take care now. Love, Jill
