CircleSquare, I tend to take my waterfall shots after heavy rain, a lot of the waterfalls are from moorland and the heavy rain washes a lot of peat into the streams causing the reddish brown colour. The long exposures seem to enhance it all the more.

Hi Joycealdrich, practically all the waterfalls were taken in the North York Moors or the Yorkshire Dales.. There is also some photos from the Tees Valley. All the photo locations are within a two hour drive of my home city of York, except for Swallow Falls which is in Wales, four hours away. Let me guess, you're rich... lol.

Gosh, I just don't think of the Moors or Dales like this! I fell in love with the area from reading the James Herriot books but ...guess I didn't picture the whole area. Such a huge variety is England, and all in a fairly small area. Yeah..right..rich! Don't I wish! Both my husband and I are early retired..not always a good thing.LOL Joyce

This entire album is just fantastic! I loved every photo but especially the ones with the unusual orange/gold/tan and more coloring, like Lower Crackpot Waterfall. How did you do this? Thank you very much for sharing this and I look forward to seeing more of your work and enjoyment.
