Hi Chris: A Great (and long ;-) "Walk"! As I mentioned in the first photo comment, I "originated" in Central Nebraska ... Cozad to be exact. Here is a link to my 1986 computer graphic of "Sandhill Cranes on the Platte". Marv (BerryMan) BTW: I don't remember the cranes being as plentiful in the 1950s.

Chris, it's great to watch the migration of theses cranes. We also have cranes visiting us in autumn on their way to Africa and in spring when they go back to Europe. Thanks for sharing these pictures and videos with us. Thanks also for your recent visit to my new album of Bet Shae'an. I'm glad that you liked it. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Yair.

Chris, this is a marvellous album and how delighted I am that this species of crane has such a thriving population as compared to Common and Demoiselle Cranes which visit Pakistan and are either hunted down or trapped alive and kept as pets. Among the pets the mortality rate is high. I have launched a captive cranes album, especially keeping you in mind and I hope you'll like it. Your videos are fantastic. I have seen the flocks here, the pandemonium and the way the cranes are trapped alive in Pakistan. I'll soon upload a twenty year old pair of common cranes calls video when they call at the whistle of their master which they term 'kick'. Thanks.....warmest regards/Abid
