Dear Rod, Well look what happens when I go on holiday you get featured :o) and they picked a wonderful album but there again all of yours are great albums. Yes we visited the Lakes and like much of the country the weather has been wet, wet and even wetter I never complain when I'm in the Lakes mind always enjoy my times there even getting soaked to the skin on a couple of occasions! We did see some blue sky but not much Hopefully I've some pictures at least worth sharing from our two weeks there. Rod I'm so sorry I hadn't thanked you for visiting my Winkworth album I was hoping to thank you and then tell you my website address but somehow I ran out of time before we went away sure you know how it is. We started by watching the regular slideshow, but sooon gave it up! Hi Rod. Well, what can one say? You had the most amazing weather for your visit and all the photos are so GORGEOUS! Only once have I been to the lakes - some years ago - when the sun came out and didn't go away the whole time. It was before digital and although I took some pictures they aren't up to the standard of digital I feel and would lose something in the scanning process. By reading Carol's comment below I found out about the full-screen slide show for the first time, so I tried it out on your album and was blown away! The photos were gorgeous in small but no comparison to the immense visual treat full screen! You've got amazing talent for capturing landscape scenes, Rod! I can't wait to get back to England on of these years and explore this magnificent nature myself, until then though I keep enjoying your explorations and photo documentaries! I just returned from 2 months home in Germany just recently and although we didn't do that much long distance traveling while there, my almost daily nature hikes around home were almost better than some of the most exotic and wildest travels I've had around the world, and I already miss it! Things are really busy right now, trying to catch up on work and w/s but I hope to have an album (or twenty, LOL) within the next few weeks. I hope you're doing well! Cheers Marita

This has been a wonderful trip Rod and I've enjoyed it immensely. So glad you had good weather and were able to get out and about every day. Dear Rod, As someone who keeps up with whats happening in the lakes through all the websites I knew the weather has been great up there during May so I was hoping so much you were there at the time seeing I knew you were going in May. It looks like you had a great trip and had plenty of photo taking opportunities too. As always a wonderful selection of pictures all of such high quality and so well composed too. We've no plans to head north just yet but its hard to keep us away for too long. Hope you are doing OK. Take care now, Jill
