Hi Andrew. Looks like a good day was had by all of you, lucky with the weather too. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the padling though! - Rachel

Brilliant photos of one of my favourite areas in the Lake District. Looks like you had a wonderful day. Brings back memories and a reminder that I haven't visited the area for far too long! Maggie OFC

Dear Andrew, Well thank you so much for reminding me just what a fantatsic place Upper Eskdale is We followed the left hand side of the path too quite exciting where it narrows eh! Scrambling up the side of Cam Spout was enough for me but I think your scrambling route to Ill Crag looks fun too. Shame you had to cut your walk a bit short but I bet it was a long day all the same I remember I was pooped but the memories of being in upper Eskdale will always be with me and I long to return sadly don't think we will this September Great having friends with you I bet and a lovely picture they took of you too. When do you plan your big finish ? Take care now, Jill
