  • Whale watching must be a complete hit or a miss. It looks like you had a great day out anyway and the weather behaved itself. Getting photos of eagles in the wild is far from easy, and it didn't look as if those Red Breasted Geese were too keen either. My criteria for whether anything was worthwhile or not is to ask myself if I'd go back. If the answer is "Yes" then despite any disappointments you may have had, you should make the trip again. Lots of people would willingly trade places with you. Go back Scott, and maybe you'll see a whole load of whales. Nice album. Well shot. A pleasure to explore.

  • Sorry about the whales ! Looks like it was a pretty boat ride anyway ! (I have always seen dolphins on my dolphin tours here, but often see more just hanging out on the various island piers, so I can relate.)
