Album Description:
Weathervanes. As a lad I made wooden "WHIRLIGIGS" and placed them on our garage roof. I was 'totally amazed!' at the number of weathervanes in my (Eastern) half of Denver! Also included are a few vanes from North Platte, Nebr.

Hi Marv: what a stunning, beautiful collection of vanes! Shows that still people exist who love unusual vane figures! We could try statistics and at the end guess in which part of America we live! - We love Denver and environs, though we have been there but a weeklong, for a Convention. But at the end we profited from time and situation, and went westwards, till Tucson. And finally southern Arizona won - spent there 13 times a month, till 2003, our last visit to America. I was geologist, retired since 1988... - Thank you for your kind words in our "Biarritz to Geneva" album! I see you are retired, too, since not too long - so profit from (free!) flights as long and as much as possible. Our flying is at present limited to France and Switzerland, two or three times the year. - Take care, profit from life! All good wishes: Kaethi and Henri

Wow Marv. Great idea. I never knew there were so many different weather vanes, and all located so close together. Makes me miss that crazy Colo. Di

A great idea for an album. You'll have us all with strained necks looking up for photo opportunities.

Wonderful and so different - this looks like a lot of "work". I don't know which one I prefer more: the Flying Pig or the Biplane. Greetings from Germany. Barbara

This is a fantastic collection of weathervanes! I could see this as a book. How long did it take you to photograph them all, years?

Are these weathervanes made by the same artist? They are very interesting and this is a great album.

Very nice idea for an album. Great shots. I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that I have uploaded some new wildlife albums from this month trip to Tanzania. All animals in their natural habitat. Stop by if you can, and write me a note. Regards Nurit.
