Is Lookout Mountain in Georgia? I think that's where my Dad told me it was. WOW, 600 steps!! Whew!! No wonder your wife wanted YOU to go get the car! This is a very neat album. Very fun to watch the progression of your hike. Thanks.

This is an awesome hike!! WOW, Dad and I would have LOVED hiking this trail, back when I was younger and in shape!! I couldn't BEGIN to go 50 feet on this trail now!! Thanks for the photos. I did enjoy it a whole lot. It's a VERY beautiful trail. I like the wooden stairs. They are so interestingly built and arranged. It reminds me of a trip Dad and I took to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We took a path and I took LOT's of photos and yours reminded me of some that I took on that trip. When I can, I'll try to scan the prints into my computer. I don't know how well they will turn out. Some were very beautiful.

I enjoyed the hike (from my computer chair), but would never have made it back up in person. My sympathies to Candy. Now THAT is what I call a loyal and loving wife...LOL

Thanks Jim for a wonderful adventure. I haven't been in the Lookout Mountain area in a couple of decades. (We used to have relatives in that area that we would visit). This was a very enjoyable slideshow, loved your commentary. - Kirk

Jim, you've done a beautiful job with this album ... photos and commentary! Thanks for dragging me along. Without me in tow, maybe it would have been easier for you! I used to love this hike, but now I'd have to settle for the hike around the rim, which is pretty strenuous itself. It doesn't look like there was any mountain laurel, which surprises me ... it must have already bloomed. Good to see everything looking so green. Susan
