    • The sugar water was actually honey water. I fed the bees some left over honey mixed with water to help feed them before our blooming season started.

    • Hikerhead, good to hear from you. I have two hives now although only one has bees in it now. The "moats" around the legs were supposed to keep ants out but instead they drowned lots of bees. I made some covers for them and greased the legs up and the covers, top and bottom, with Crisco. So far so good and no more drowned bees.

    • Are you in the bee business now. Are those dead bees? Is that grease around the bottom of the hive? What with the bottle of sugar water? I'm guessing that's sugar water. What the heck have you been up to?
