Another beautiful album. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my Scotland pics. You mentioned visiting Ullapool years ago; did they have the best fish and chips in Britain then? (Everyone on my trip agreed they do now!)

Hi Rod; I thoroughly enjoyed this album. I love the English countryside and hope that one day I will be able to come for a visit. Those houses with their thached roofs are so charming... was just wondering how they are maintained??? Thank you for sharing such an outstanding album and also for your kind words on my Bonsai and Japanese garden album. I am glad you enjoyed it, for it was lots of fun putting it together. I look forward to seeing more of your albums. Your black swan now graces my desktop. Best Wishes, Marjie/Olympia,WA

Hi Rod, another album of picture postcard quality photos. So many exquisite photos, of which "Golden Sunset" is my favorite. Many thanks for your recent comments on my day with Al, meeting and sharing with another Webshots member is awesome. Meeting Al simply blew my mind. It will go down as one of this year's highlights. Cheers and best wishes from Keith in Oz.

Rod, many thanks for your kind words in the gb for my featured history album yesterday. It is remiss of me not to have viewed this one before as you have all my favorite Devon destinations here. However that sparrow hawk photo is a stunner as far as I am concerned. I was once in a similar situation in my garden. Dashed in to get my digi cam & clicked away following him around untill he flew off. Then found in my rush I had pushed the selection dial round & had no photos! win some lose some as they say! Eric

Hi Rod, Pop over to thank you for your kind comments regarding my sunset album and stayed to take a look at this album. I simply had to download one of the robin photos and a squirrel one. I just know i will be downloading some more as you have some beautiful shots here. How on earth did you get so close to them? I have tried to take bird shots myself but can only zoom in so much so hopefully will purchase a seperate telescopic lens in the future as I would love to be able to take shots like you have managed to capture. I have also added you to my faves as wouldn't want to miss out on any additions to your lovely albums. Take care. Chesca

I want to invite you to come visit my "Artistic License" album as I think you will recognize several of your photos; I hope you approve of what I've done, giving you your due credit, of course. Good Evening Chris, really beautiful photos, my memories returned to driving across UK many, many years ago. English countryside is very romantic, charming and you captured that atmosphere very well. I like captured mood. A very impressive artistic work is here. Chris, thank you so much for your great comments. Just a few minutes ago I posted another album from Hatshepsut temple, Egypt. That temple was my photographic dream to be there! If you have time please read my comments under each image… Again thank you for your kindness. Friendly greetings, Rafal

Hi Rod and many thanks for your kind words in my Russ Cottage album. Actually I slipped up here because it was intended to be a private album for the benefit of both the Curator (who showed us round) and the local Visitors' bureau who want to give a URL of the cottage to interested tourists. To be honest, although it was fun to shoot, I didn't think it would have all that much appeal in Webshots. I hope that by now you have recovered from all the typing resulting from your last feature and that things are getting back to normal for you. We are starting to get some warmer weather at last and it was up in the low 30's for all of our weekend away. But the wet winter has bred flies by the million and it seemed that they were all lining up and just waiting for us to get out of the car! I had to do some pretty serious editing on some of those pics where there had been flies on the camera lens! But now it's getting windy and that seems to blow them all away (fingers crossed) Catch you later, Peter

Our old sailing days come to mind and although we never anchored near a Tallship, we were in Newport , Rhode Island, when the Americas ships were there. Hi Rod. Mainly to thank you for writing once more in my Roses GB but I don't seem to have written in this one of yours before and I can't understand that because I know I've been through it a couple of times. My very favourites in here are too numerous to mention but I paused for a long time over Torbay to Dartmoor, the long shot of Widecombe and the Old Farmhouse by the woods - all of them are so typically DEVON. Wonderful! Hope this gets through to you sometime soon! Best wishes, Peter

Hi Rod, You do get around into some exciting parts of the countryside and this album is especially gorgeous. Like the greens, the fishing fleets, the thatched roof houses, in fact I downloaded seven of your photos throughout. A very nice album all around and should've been featured already. Hello Rod. Ooooooooh this album is fabulous. There are sooooo many fabastic shots. This HAS to be featured and I hope Webshots is listening. I loved your pics of the robin redbreast, the grey squirrel, the white and black swan. The quality and sharpness of the photos are so very professional. Your landscape photos are oustanding, but my very favourite photo for the reasons I shall give you has to be shot #2 'The Old Schoolhouse'. It includes so much of what I am passionate about: A COTTAGE, a POST BOX and a LAMP. All these together made for a really idylic setting. BRAVO. Finally, thank you for commenting on my narrowboats. Glad you liked them. Best wishes, Jayne xx

I love the photo of the Cathedral, and the birds, ducks, squirrel and especially the swan. My favourite photo is the train and bridge with the water in the background. What a sight. Thank you for signing my guestbook on Dutch cards, I really do appreciate it. warm regards, Barbara

Hi Rod! Excellent album and I must admit I was quite surprised to see the Black Swan (thought you only had white ones over there)! A beautiful collection of photos and hard to pick favourites, but I must mention "The Kill", by the look in his eye, I think that bird is getting ready to kill your camera too! Thankyou for your kind messages in my guestbooks. I am sure you would enjoy a visit to Australia's vast spaces where you can look from one horizon to the other without seeing any man-made structures. I just looked at your Website too, it is beautifully done. You said the "Comment" box does not work, but I put a message in and it appeared to work. Surprise for you if it does.. Best wishes.. You see some pictures of well known spots and they can be very boring, yours are never that, You have the photographers eye, the nose for a shot and come up with an interesting angle, Brilliant album Rod I can see why you have so many features and I will look forward to viewing some more, Thanks for your kind words in my Gb, like everywhere else knowing where to look and go can give a lop side view of a Counties beauty. Hi Rod. This album is a cracker too. I love the Totnes reflections and the Huckworthy bridge. How lucky were you to get "In at the kill"? The robins and the squirrels are gorgous and the Exeter Canal is a joy to look at. The old farmhouse by the woods is special as are "From Torbay to Dartmoor" and "Widecomb in the moor". What a way to finish off the album, that golden sunset is terrific. Thanks for the captions and comments and great photos. There has to be a feature here if the webshots mob are fair dinkum. Catch you again soon mate. Best wishes from Oz..Al

Hello, Rod. It's nice to see that there are flowers blooming somewhere. I just got my garden uncovered, thinking that after 3+ weeks of very warm weather, it must be that time. I was such a fool! It has snowed 5 inches since then, and all day today. Your new pictures of the crocuses along the roadside and the robin will help keep me going in the meantime. Take care. Erin

Rod...I stopped by to have another look at your albums. This one is always so nice. You change some of the photos but leave others and they are really precious. The swan could not be more perfect. All of the harbour shots are very nice and I really like them. warm wishes, Barbara http://community.webshots.com/user/midnight_lace http://community.webshots.com/user/barbaramidnight

Oh my goodness! This has to be the best album I've ever seen. I love the robin but they are all such beautiful shots. I would love to see this album featured and soon! Very nice. I have a shot of a Swan, white with a black neck and head, I also have silly swan in one of my albums. Lol...She floats on her back with her head lying on her belly and her foot slung over her belly. ;0) Don't mean to ramble but I guess you can tell I'm impressed. Thanks for signing my album guest book and keep on snapping these beautiful shots. Marianne
