Hi, Just wanted to say that I loved your photos. I grew up in California and spent many winters skiing Mammoth and many summers hiking through the heavenly Sierras. Unfortunately, for the mountain lover that I am I now live in the flatlands of New Jersey where the highest point is less than 2000 feet! Ugh, and the people here dare to call them 'mountains'! Anyway, since I can't be back there to revel in the beauty I thank you for your photos-they remind me of just how much that area touched my soul and why I miss it so much!!

Hello Andi! It feels odd ... of all the webshot photographers, YOU were the first I fell "in love" with...but only now am I writing! I had downloaded almost your entire collection of FANTASTIC, STUPENDOUS, SPECTACULAR photos ... and then my hubby accidently erased my ENTIRE collection of about 3,000 webshots! YIKES! Then... he did it again! Finally, I showed him, MR COMPUTER!, how "I" found a way to take only SPECIFIC albums out and burn them to disc without taking everything (such as webshots!). Well, a couple of months later, I am getting my "collection& quot; put back together, and also have a different "eye" on what I want for my screensaver, and came across your WINTER WONDERLAND album. WOW. Breathe-taking, indeed. THANK YOU for sharing your unique vision, perspective and compostion with the rest of us, who can hope to aspire to your level of proficiency. A question: In your image #50, entitled MONO LAKE CALIFORNIA, there is a wonderful ...clump...of color, red, which is a brilliant piece of composition, BTW (of which you know, of course!). Do you have ANY idea what that red is? A rock formation? A tree? What? If you have the time in between all your photo-taking, I'd be honored if you could drop me a line. This past holiday season, we were given a hand-me-down digi camera from my uncle -- a Canon D60! Along with PhotoElements 2.0! Oh, and a mega big zoom! They've gone on to the Rebel and other cameras ....VERY nice gift. Now as soon as I learn how to turn it on .... Actually, we have been using it, though haven't really explored 1/100th of it's abilities yet. At the same time, I also discovered FRACTALS, here on webshots, and had had some time to play with those, using various free programs. Lots of fun! I would be interested in knowing what TYPE(S) of cameras you use and also what type(s) of digital editing software you play with, if you wouldn't mind sharing that info....
