Oskar, I'm thoroughly enjoying this album on Dutch Windmills. The photograph of the decking as seen from under the mill's scaffolding is one of my favorites. I like it for its abstract composition. As an architect I am both trained and interested in art and photography. As a sailor, I am intrigued by how the wooden sails on these mills are controlled and how the mill is capable of facing the wind when it is in use. Obviously, many of the same physical principless of lift and low pressure on the back side of the sails are applied to these windmills. In cases like the windmills of Greece where the sails are made of cloth, my main interests relate to how the sails are raised and lowered without killing the operators. A wonderful idea to create an album on windmills only. I like to see the many different windmills which you were able to collect. There are many details I enjoyed to discover and I will have to come back for a closer look. Thank you offering this kind of a Dutch windmill tour as an online journey. Cheers, Strobelix

Hoi Oskar. Tuurlijk heb je gelijk, dat die overzichtsfoto's minder zijn. Ze zijn meteen een stuk rommeliger. Maar ik wilde toch iets laten zien van dat het eigenlijk een minigolf was. Ik vond de combinatie een beetje mal... Groeten Anna

I noticed your comment regarding jukkema's photo's, they inspired me to take up water colors again, since I was a child. Since you have such an appreciation for his photo's, I thought perhaps your imput regarding my paintings about his subject would be nice to hear. I don't blame you for liking his photo's, I live here now and he catches Netherlands perfectly.
