Comment on Hess Bros. from Jere Erickson '57, San Diego, CA -- Hess Brothers Dept. Store pix. wonderful memories of a GREAT STORE where my uncle Russ Erickson (son Russell Jr.'49 Deceased and Jere '57) managed this store..and had his office right off the stair landing to the second floor. I remember my first 2 piece knit dress my parents bought for me, here. It was very expensive and had "white angora" embroidered in the bodice. I did not have a large wardrobe, but what I had was nice.
