Hi Erik, congratulations on your featured festive album today, however I choose this album for my message. It is so nice to see other areas of the world & we have promised ourselves a visit to Switzerland for many years & never made it yet. Your area looks great, ours in UK is as well but is not a town situation but quite rural. So I now have 3 albums "within 5 miles (8Km) of home" should you like to visit them, again a lot different from usual UK tourist traps & not known by many, even in UK. Eric (the English spelling!)

Church of Arburg #8 is very nicely done. Great contrast. Your hometown seems like a pleasant place to live. The empty streets make the town seem a bit mysterious. The buildings and structures all seem to have a story to tell, some history.

Merci Erik pour tes commentaires sur mes récentes mise à jours. Depuis un peu plus de deux semaines les couleurs d'automne sont apparus et on a eu une température idéale dans les quatre derniers jours pour capturer cela en photo. Par contre aujourd'hui des vents violents et de forte pluies me font croire que le plus beau de l'automne est passé, du moins dans ma région. Concernant le Canyon Ste Anne, j'ai un album complet qui sera totalement changé d'ici demain sur nttl2k1, je trouve que les photos se ressemblent trop et comme l'album sur les Sept Chutes n'était pas complet et qu'il n'attirait pas beaucoup j'ai décidé de réunir ces deux sites touristique en un seul album. Eric, Thank you for all of your generous comments in my guestbook. I love all of the phothographs in this album, but I especially like the ones of the stormy sky behind the beautiful white church. The covered bridge pictures are also very nice. As an architect, I find the interior shots showing the unique structural system extremely interesting. In America most of our covered bridges are of a bow truss or lattice truss design. Another type that is common is a simple truss with horizontal and vertical members diagonally braced. I have never seen a fan arrangement of diagonals like the ones in your photographs before. Thanks for sharing. Bill Cable (heyburn3)
