Hello Erik, I realized I never came back to see the latest additions to this album. That was a pity, because I missed out on some fantastic pictures. Wow, the swan portrait really is a topper! I viewed it full size, and even the little waterdrops are natural sharp. It is a very true to life picture. Hi Erik, are you better off taking photos of things like ducks on water, in the sports mode on the camera? It says it gives you a faster lens reaction, or something like that. My camera has many settings on it that I know nothing about, and I don't want to alter anything incase I make it worse. I might have to get a few lessons from someone who knows about the camera. I see on your photos of the ducks, you have got a good reflection. Is that just calm water, or the way you have the cam set to take the photo? All the best, George

good picof the cows, especially the first one. It is not so easy to get the camera to focus or expose correctly on these animals which are dominant black and white. The Panda pics I have been trying to capture, with them in the shade, are really challenging at times. Anyways, thanks very much for your nice comments from way far away.

Hi again Erik! I just love the expressions you caught on these animals' faces. You are a great photographer and I take great delight in viewing your photographs. In answer to your question from the Grant's Farm album, no I don't know how to speak any German. The family who owns this land now is the Busch Family of Busch Beer fame and I am assuming they may be from German descent. I am really not sure, but they named the buildings, carriage house, some stalls and the courtyard area at this site, the Bauernhof. It is located right in the heart of St. Louis County, MO, and is not even in the country like most farms. They do raise and breed Clydesdale horses there. Thanks for your interest.
