This album is mostly old photos of historic Rockford area scenes and items. I have retouched to enhance the details as much as possible from the low quality original scans. I sure would like to get the originals of some of these to do some high quality

  • Very nice pictures. The Public Library has the original date stone in the lobby on the river side. Located on the western bank of the beautiful Rock River in the heart of Rockford's Cultural Corridor, this Carnegie building was built in 1902 and continues to be a cornerstone of the Rockford community.

  • bob, i am training to be a tour guide at the tinker cottage. they replaced the bridge last yr. brand new, does not swing but is nice. also they are planning on replacing the walkway and pond on the other side of the kent to get it back to original landscape.
