I really love your b&w/infrared shots. I have no idea which is which, but hey!! All these photos make me feel like I've stepped into a different dimension in time and space - very trippy! By the way, it's 9am for me right now - fresh and awake and not under the influence of anything ... just in case you were wondering from my comments! Anyway, awesome photos! Cheers, Sharon, Brisbane Australia

A fine collection. Balance and composition absolutely beautiful. These photos harken back to an era when time passed a little more slowly, and clouds stalled forever overhead. Very good work.

Beautiful albums. As much as I love their color, my favorite remains this B&W album. It takes a special eye to see and special talent to capture the beauty that lies in black and white photos. You have done that outstandingly here. Very dramatic, nice contrast...just overall a REAL pleasure. Thank you for sharing your photos. -debbie (Dallas, TX)

Thank you for your comment in my guestbook. I think you make stunning photos. In this particular album I like old car1 and lighthouse1 best. I definitely come back to take a look at all your other albums too. Greetings from the Netherlands, Louise.

I truly enjoyed your work and what can be achieved with infrared. The sepia picture has a kind of oldfashioned but high tech mystic quality that I liked, You usually associate sepia with old portraits as color was some years off and I think strickly b&w got boring for folks. I did a small amount of sepia toning and was very pleased with the effects it can give a photo, a kinda richness that isn't there in straight black and white. I once tried an experiment with Kodalith film very very slow speed like 7asa or something. Anyway if you do not develop it all the way so that it isnt black and clear areas but to a halfway point where the gradations of greys are there to print, You end up with the most detailed photo with rich rich blacks and silvery highlights (depending on the paper) I took a shot of Snoqualmie Falls outside Seattle and of course with that real slow speed film + everything from short to real long exposures(on a tripod), I got pictures I would have never dreamed of Every detail imaginable was there where things were stationary (water works ,powerlines people etc) Long exposures the water took on the look of the clouds in your infrareds. The cool part was that there was a giant rainbow uncapturable by Kodalith, but I took some photo tint later and added a real muted rainbow, barely discernable and than sepia toned the whole thing. It certainly was a gratifying experiment that I have never repeated but maybe someday will. The digital camera bug has got me now, but I just can't see a digital producing anything remotely close to those photos as well as the outstanding infrareds you have shot in this portfolio. Good going and keep up the good work! Lee Truman aka Lee-Dawna@comcast.net

This is in many respects an outstanding album. You show that the good old black and white is alive and kicking, and with the use of infrared, wonderfully artistic pictures can be made. Not at all 'nostalgic' or 'retro' or 'romantic', but utterly modern. Thanks!

I think you are one of the few with a "featured album" that truly deserves it, you have a great eye and see the beauty in things most people would never notice.
