  • How ironic SunnySlopes....I moved to Austin from Florida!!!

  • I lived in Austin for 25 yrs. from 70 - 95. Now I'm stuck in Florida(no comparison - of course). I'm a hill country kinda guy and I long for my beloved hills in central Texas - soon to be rectified. But for the past several years I have been here in Florida for career reasons. Believe it or not, I just got my first computor and my son in Austin hipped me to this website. I recognized Bull Creek emediately. The first day I arrived at the Austin area, Bull Creek was my initial introduction to the area. First Impressions. That was in 1967(first weekend pass. I was stationed at "Ft. Head")I fell in love the hill country and Austin - the people, the scene and The Vulcan Gas Co. I vowed to live there someday(Austin - not the Gas Co.). So, when I got out of the Army I moved to Austin and the rest is history. Anyhow, it sure is a pleasure viewing your shots. But I feel a deep yearning when I look at that water coming over those rocks at Bull Creek in your photo - and especially everytime I look around me here in Fla. Palm trees. Hmmm.

  • Don't know about anybody else but I loved the moon shot that you didn't think much of. I love it. I have a great love of moon shots of all kinds. Although the full moons are my favorite, I love them all. I have watched the moon rise over the Pecos River a time or two and it was awsome. Thanks for sharing a bit of home with me. I have been gone for 40 years and the trip home through your pictures were great. Happy Holidays.
