Nice pictures!! What state is this Alder Creek on ? There is one in California, New York, Oregon and Idaho. Would love to visit this one. Noticed one of your pictures showing what you call Elephant ear? To me it looks like some kind of wild rhubarb. nice pics rick. thanks for sharing. the 'elephant ears' are actually darmera peltata or indian rhubarb. it's the largest member of the saxifrage family [at least here in california, but possibly worldwide]. it's a beautiful plant. the flowers which come up before the leaves are trippy too.

Hi Rick, Thanks for signing my guestbook. With your name in my guestbook, I can now come back often. I enjoyed your albums very much. They are very colourful and scenic. You take very nice pictures too. Regarding your question on the glaring spot when pointing straight into the sun, I just realised that I am blessed with a camera that knock out those spots very efficiently. I believe it has to do with the quality of the lens and the angle you point at the sun. I always use a hood on the lens. I will do some experiment and shall let you know if I find the answer. Perhaps if anyone else know the exact answer, I would be pleased to know too. May you have a blessed Christmas and a happy new year. William, Malaysia
