I'm a sucker for covered bridges! Love the album. I'm in Oregon, and we have a few, but they are not close to me. Maybe some day I'll go on a hunt (map in hand)! I think Mugs (think it's mugs116, but I'm making a guess) knows where they all are. He's in or near Portland and probably 15 miles at least from me down in Tualatin. We have a freeway (I-5) now running through the middle of our town. We keep incorporating and going out and out! I don't like that. I came when only 700 were here. Now it's more like 22,000 or more. Amyway, Mugs gets around Oregon a LOT more and further away than I (since 2002). I need to get all better to go back out and shoot my heart out. Three good cameras should do it, right? :) I have what I call my "devil camera" for past six months. I had no idea I could not see settings via viewfinder. The monitor is very bright in low light or inside. I'm not using it much because I can't see the monitor during daylight. It has that swiveling monitor so you can shoot way above your head or down below and not wreck your body. I have a bunch of lessons. I'm lacking in studying them. ;) Oh, I do have two other digitals I can use, and they are both terrific! Keep up the great work. Your photos are lovely. Donna

Bill & Kay, Still touring your albums, you do such great work with that photographic eye of yours. Wish I had the covered bridges to visit but you've made me feel like I was almost there. Thanks for sharing. On a side note have you heard anything from Dar lately? I'm worried about her, we used to talk daily and I have heard from her since she got back from the Cape. Hope someone has, not even answering my emails. Any news? Thanks, Garry

Hi Bill and Kay... enjoyed visiting all the beautiful WV covered bridges in your albums. Once again, it made me homesick for "back east" and the two Virginias. God bless, Charlotte in dried-up and blown-away El Paso, Texas where the Rio Grande River is but a long sandbank these days.

Hi Bill and Kay, I enjoyed looking through your great collection of old covered bridges in West Virginia. Being born and raised around the Simpson Creek area, I have seen the Simpson Creek and Philippi Bridges many times. Your photos of them are super. Your photo of the one covered bridge in Wetzel County brings back memories too, as that is the area that my mother was from. She taught school in Littleton, WV back in the early 20's. Anyhow. Those are wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing. JW

Hi Bill and Kay, what a beautiful collection of great images in these two albums. It is my pleasure to view your fine colorful albums. You certainly have a fine eye for pictures composition to capture beauty created by builders many years ago. Very interesting albums!!! Thank you for your wonderful friendship, very kind comments under my featured album and trust in my photographic ability. Your supportive comments inspired me...which makes another project more excited to shoot. Friendly and kind regards, Rafal

Hi Kay & Bill! Is someone in the family an engineer??? Love the information on the bridges!!! I've always thought that they all looked like they could fall down at any minute but now I know they won't! The information on the Indian wars was fascinating too. And the cost differences on the Staats Mill Covered Bridge is enough to make you long for the good ol' days! I was just wondering about something though...do you suppose that Jess 2002 knows Mark and Pam???? Another HUGE WELL DONE!!!! Fun and fascinating album with fabulous photos!!! Hugs! Jane

Hi again, Bill and Kay. This is a fine album too and to think you get to ride around and see all this beauty. I thought the Centerville Bridge greatly interesting. At first I thought it might be under renovation, but decided it is not. What a great bridge. I have never seen the likes of it before. Will look forward to more photos from you as spring gets into full swing. Thanks for sharing with all of us in Webshots. Dynna

Hi Kay and Bill! Centerpoint Bridge is quite interesting! I don't think I would have ever wanted to ride across that bridge. I'm sure it would have held up, but it is really one of the most interesting structures in covered bridges. This is another beautiful album. Now that Julie and Ed are moving to KY, I guess Bob and I won't be seeing the covered bridges in Indiana anymore. We never did get to the covered bridges in Ohio. Maybe we'll start looking for horse ranches in KY. :-))) Lots of hugs. Sharon
