  • Hello Rik, its been awhile since a visit; the picture here with ponderosa pine and what you called birch is actually aspen trees. Elevation tells a lot. Thought this might help you in the long run. Grab yourself a tree ID book while you're out and about, makes those mysterious tree pictures come to life. Good picture, though. Ron/Oregon Coast
