Hey Jill!I am sorry it has been ages, I've been so crazy busy since I got back from vacation. Now I have a few "quiet" days before taking off again next week. So I thought I'd say hello.I saw you first album on Majed's site and wanted to say hello there but you don't have your comments turned on (I think). I was very happy to see you there also! I haven't made an album in many months and pictures are piling up. So I may just put some new ones on that site when I get a chance! Anyway, big huge cowgirl hugs from Houston. Marita

Good Morning Jill..Looks like I'm going to have a very exciting "tour" as I travel through each one of your awesome albums in this website..Just going to take them one at a time to drink in all of the fantastic beauty you have captured with your camera..may take me a few weeks or so but it's going to be worth the effort as you have such an awesome "eye" for beauty...Thanks for sharing this Greast Gable album & God's Blessings from Texas...Ken

Hi Jill, Congratulations on your outstanding featured album! It has one great picture after another. I particularly like your flower shots, but also your rendition of "The Natural History Museum London", but then again I love your shot of the blackbird nestlings. Get the picture? Best wishes for your well deserved special day and greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. I came over to this album, because after trying over a dozen times, I could not get to the guestbook of your album featured today. I kept getting a “Page Not Found” error. I hope the problem was at this end and not at yours. It would be a shame to lose all the guestbook entries that you and your album so richly deserve.

Hi Jill. Thank you so much for your nice words in my album of São Luís do Maranhão. This album about Great Gable begins immediately surprising us by the intense ground's colors. In some of the photos, is like if someone has been spreading dark red wine on the hills. This makes a nice contrast with the golden of dry grass and with the green. Landscape is so diversified. I like so much this kind of stroll, it is so healthy and relaxing, and we learn so much about nature. It must be an incredible experience for these young in your group and it is such a good activity for them. Team spirit... It's so nice to see everybody happy faces! The views are so beautiful that I took a deep breath as if I was there. I can see that you know this region quite well. And your explaining notes and the occasional appearance of some of you in the photos, make us feel as if we were there, walking with your group. The field in photo 53 is sooo gorgeous. Thank you so much for this lovely stroll. Greetings from Portugal, Rosa

Oooops - I never knew that before and pressed the wrong key! Anyway, in the end I went through them all again on the principle that I am bound to catch any additions that way. Glad you liked the beach shots and I thank you for writing in my GB. Actually I don't think you would have liked it after all - you are so used to that cold and dreary weather our warmth wouldn't have gone down too well with you. Should see you on MSN but tonight is bnrother in law night so I'll have to wait and see if he turns up. Love and hugs, Peter

Hi Jill, I did a walk yesterday and the pic's are up. Repating myself, the bad was really bitter and the light wasn't the best but the S7000 functione fine appart from the odd focus but it was weel below zero. Thought you would be interested. All the best, keep warm, Pete.

Hi again Jill, the plot thickens so to speak, not only do I cerry the S7000 I have a Sony Vc 2100E video + bits they come to 14 pounds! Keeps me fit just carrying them! As far as the Fuji is concerned I either use it on auto or sp, I use paint shop pro X and do all my editing with that. If I am doing waterfalls is probably the only time I go to auto. I have a wide angle lens which is always fitted that I can just spin off if necessary. I have done one or two pic's but with webshots being a bit dodgy I haven't uploaded. If the weather is nice tomorrow the plan of attack is my first walk of 2006,hopefully WITH NAMES!! Anything else you want to know just ask me, peteeddy42@hotmail.com All the best, Pete.

Thanks for the gb entry in my Local Countryside album Jill. Glad we went out when we did though because now the weather has changed totally and it is rather wet and VERY windy - not ideal conditions for photography! Love and hugs Peter

Thanks Jill for your entries in both my guest books. It's a wonder you can't smell that Jasmine because it is VERY strong as always and makes the whole garden smell nice and fresh, to say nothing of the house. Sorry about that bit below this, maybe you could delete it - my finger slipped at the wrong moment! LOL Love and hugs, Peter

Hi Jill and thanks for your message in my Cruising guest book. We were almost 800 kms from home, down in the south east of our state staying in a town called Esperance which is on the shores of the Southern Ocean. That boat does the same cruise every day of the year and also operates as a tazi service for people who are staying on Woody Island. At times it does moves along at a pretty fair clip, yes, but justs idles around the islands so we can get a close up of all the seals etc. Was a great day and a good way of escaping the summer heat(like todau, for instance - we are heading for a high of 36 so off out now to get the shopping done early) Loved the photos you have in Ray's album! Take care, Peter

Jill, we have just returned from a two week holiday down in the south of our state and whilst in one of the B&Bs we met up with a couple who live in Windermere and look out to Great Gable from their living room window. I told them about you and your wonderful photos and they have made a note to look them up on their return in April. Hope all is well, Peter

I remember reading in one of Wainwright's books where he said if you wanted to admire a view then you should STOP and do so, don't keep walking. Now I see what he meant! You certainly wouldn't want to take your eyes off the track in some of those places you got yourselves into. Jill, the additions to this album are just wonderful and thank you so much for posting them into WS. I have had a ball viewing them - in fact I went right through the entire album for go to whoah with a nice slow and easy slide show. Thanks also for viewing my latest offerings, which pall besides yours. Peter in Western Australia

Jill - I want to thank you again for those links. The Keswick one is just magnificent when you delve deeply into it. I can well understand how that area keeps drawing you back. Do you live far from the lakes? How about that guy who looks up at Scafell from his window, eh? WOW, what a view! I've been about 3 hours on these links so far - Betty seems to think she has lost me, but I have seen her peeping over my shoulder to look at the photos more than once! Peter in WA

As I said below, I keep on coming back to this album, I enjoy it so much. I found a website that might interest you on the lakeland trails - you probably know them all but the guy says he puts a different slant on them www.lakedistrictwalks.com / Peter in Western Australia

You've got to be lucky to have a day like that in the Lakes!! You tell me you are basically a point and shoot girl but you are being very modest here. I've known people who can quite easily mess up the most gorgeous of scenes but you seem to have an instinct for what makes a good photo. I shall never tire of looking at them. Hello Jill! Hi! Highly fascinating pics you’ve presented here!! I love scenery shots especially the mountains. I am really impressed with your depth. I've attempted to do some myself. I would like to invite you to visit my albums and would love to hear what you think of my work. Greetings! Sanjay Pindiyath, Hong Kong
