Thanks for sharing your photos with the rest of us. I would love to go to the Yukon and other parts of Canada. It really is beautiful. Keep taking pictures!! Especially of the Northern lights. I wonder if there are any other colors besides green...like pink or blue perhaps.

Thanks for responding.... I have seen something similar near Alaskan glaciers. The glacial "flour" causes a discoloration of the water for a substantial distance in front of the glacier. However, the demarcation in not as sharp as the one in your picture. I'm still a bit puzzled by the turquoise color, and wonder if it corresponds to any of the rocks in the area... or if it might be the result of vegetation.... In any case, another great picture!

I was able to see the color change easily when I looked at the full size picture. The demarkation between the blue water and the more purple looking water is amazingly sharp. Do you know what causes it?
